The New Year Resolution: Do It the Right Way

Resolutions can be motivating, but more often than not they are set in the first week of January, are followed for approximately a day or two, then forgotten until the new year rings again. Getting clear on how you want to feel will help to shape the year ahead in terms of what you do and how you feel. When you wake up on New Year’s Day, you are still the same person. You don’t magically become the “new you” you’ve been promising yourself to be. What changes and evolves, however, is your mindset! How do you want to show up in the world in 2022? Healthy? Positive? Driven? Relaxed? 

Take charge of your life by setting some goals from the heart! If your goal isn’t something that really matters to you, most probably you won’t commit to it. 

Here are 10 realistic goals to start the new year with a little self-love that will last!

1- Work on improving your habits rather than changing your lifestyle.

2- Turn off distractions and give yourself the 7 to 8 hours of beauty sleep you deserve.

3- Hydrate. Hydrate. Hydrate. 

4- Get yourself on that mat! Struggling to stick to a fitness routine? Find something that you absolutely love, and encourage your friends to join in!

5- Who said you need to exercise every day of the week? Start with a 30-minute routine 3 times a week and then gradually adjust based on how that works out for you.

6- Add some healthy snacks like a banana, dried fruits and veggie chips to keep you energized during the day!

7- Plan 2-3 meals for the week using the same ingredients. Not only do you save waste, but also lots of time! 

8- Get yourself some new workout gear!

9- Try something new, we dare you!

10- Have an “I can and I will” mindset. You can achieve anything you set your mind to!
